In preparation for the Harms Mill Dam removal, multiple agencies grouped up to temporarily relocate some federally endangered species, including a small green/grey fish known as the boulder darter.

For this non-narrated feature I pitched, reported, produced and photographed, I put on some muck boots and headed to the dam with biologist Andrew Zimmerman — field coordinator with Conservation Fisheries in Knoxville, Tenn. In this audio postcard, biologists use electricity to corral and capture the three-inch fish.
